TPG Telecom’s Private Cloud Goes Live!
TPG Telecom's Private Cloud pod, located in DCA | PIER, has officially commenced operations and is now marked as 'Ready For Service.' This marks the first Private Cloud facility established by TPG Telecom in Western Australia.
DCA facilitates the realisation of 'Edge to the Cloud' paradigm by offering customers advanced Cloud services spanning from the core infrastructure to enable latency-sensitive and last-mile connectivity-dependent Edge applications.
DCA | PIER holds significance beyond being a mere 'On-Net' location for TPG Telecom. It provides comprehensive fiber diversity alongside a complete suite of internet and data services.
DC Alliance is delighted to announce the full operational status of TPG Telecom's Private Cloud within DCA | PIER, with anchor customers currently onboarded. This development follows the announcement made in June 2022, wherein TPG Telecom began deployment of a Private Cloud instance in DCA | PIER, making it the sole data center provider to host such an instance in Western Australia (with five others located Australia wide).

This milestone is of utmost importance, coinciding with DCA's commitment to empowering the Edge to the Cloud transition. As Edge computing gains traction, the demand for sophisticated services like TPG's Private Cloud becomes crucial for latency-sensitive and last-mile connectivity-dependent applications. Through this partnership with TPG Telecom, DCA serves as a core network location within the extensive national TPG Telecom network, bringing the Edge closer to the Cloud.
